Her parents, a mechanic and teacher, taught Sánchez that hard work and education are the foundations to achieving the American Dream. As a former schoolteacher, union labor lawyer, and now Congresswoman/Mom, Cong. Sánchez has dedicated her life to protecting working families. Sánchez has championed policies to bring good-paying jobs to Southern California, bring down grocery, housing, and health care costs, protect small businesses, and improve water and air quality for our children. She’s also leading the fight on extremism, including: standing up to Trump and continuing to oppose corrupt corporate and political interests. While typical politicians are protecting corporate interests and wealthy donors instead of standing up for everyday people, Cong.
